Planning and Noise
Noise is a deciding factor in many planning applications. The National Planning Policy Framework was published in 2012 and replaced Planning Policy Guidance 24 Planning and Noise (PPG 24). The NPPF aims to provide advice on how the planning system can be used to minimise the adverse impact of noise without placing unreasonable restrictions on development or adding unduly to the administrative burdens of business.
24 Acoustics and its staff has considerable experience in undertaking noise impact assessments for planning purposes (with deliverables produced in the form of stand-alone reports and noise & vibration chapters for inclusion within environmental statements).
