Project: Sark Island Hall
Client: The residents of Sark
The residents of Sark approached 24 Acoustics to provide technical advice on improving the internal acoustic response within the island’s community hall. The venue had many hard exposed surfaces, with minimal acoustic diffusion giving rise to excessively reverberant characteristics. As a result, acoustics were adversely affected – especially the clarity and intelligibility of speech. 24 Acoustics spent several days on site undertaking reverberation time tests before specifying and then supervising the installation of natural sheep wool wall and ceiling absorbers.
